For Spring Summer 2026, Baracuta partners with Undercover to present a limited-edition collaboration centred on a new interpretation of the G9 Harrington Jacket. Bringing together British heritage outerwear and contemporary Japanese design sensibility, the project reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful construction.
Founded by Jun Takahashi, Undercover has long explored the space between tradition and disruption. For this collaboration, that approach begins with an unexpected reference point: the Baracuta G4 Jacket, historically defined by its straighter cut and considered functionality. Drawing from the G4’s proportions and attitude toward movement, the design reconsiders how the G9 Harrington Jacket might evolve for a modern female consumer.
At the centre of the project is the Undercover x Baracuta G9 Women’s Jacket, shaped through a dialogue between the G4 silhouette and the enduring structure of Baracuta’s most recognisable design. Faithful to its origins yet open to reinterpretation, the jacket introduces a softly curved, off-centre zip closure that subtly shifts the garment’s visual axis. The gesture reshapes the familiar profile, creating fluidity and ease while preserving the integrity of the original form.
Heritage elements remain integral to the design. The Fraser Tartan lining extends beyond the interior as a deliberate exterior detail. It traces the slanted pockets, frames the cuffs, and finishes the hem with precision. These interventions anchor innovation within provenance, allowing heritage craftsmanship and contemporary
expression to exist in measured balance.
Crafted with restraint and precision, the jacket maintains Baracuta’s commitment to premium materials and longevity of wear. The collection is offered in three considered colourways: Dark Navy, Avion, and Tan, each chosen to emphasise silhouette and texture over statement.
More broadly, the collaboration reflects a shared philosophy in which heritage is neither replicated nor discarded. Instead, it becomes a foundation for exploration, quietly adjusted and carried forward through modern heritage design. Shop the collaboration here.
